UN: Mexico must address dire human rights situation with concrete actions not rhetoric
Summarize:
-Mexico will announce to Human Rights Council members which 176 recommendations it will adopt for its country.
-Mexico has an on going patterns of disappearance, torture, arbitrary detention as well as routine attacks on men and women defending their rights, journalist and migrants.
-2009, Mexico said it would implement the majority of recommendation.
-In the end, Mexico failed to take action to the crisis, which continues to this very day.
-The Human Rights Council thinks even though the Mexican Government announced that it will accept many recommendations, they won't follow through and it was “just business as usual.”
-Also Mexico is reforming the code of military justice which is another major issue: They’re excluding human rights violations committed by military against civilians from military court: however, it will not apply to human rights violations committed by military against other military personnel.
- The good thing about Mexico is that the country should be willing to change as there is an on going abuse of Human Right Articles.

Do you think there is no point in trying to change Mexico’s Human Rights polices as they failed to do so in 2009, or should they get a second chance to change their country’s downfalls? and why?
